What Exactly is the Asus Symbol

What Exactly is the Asus Symbol?

Asus is a well-known name in the computer industry. They have been manufacturing computers for almost as long as I can remember.

In fact, they were not just making laptops but also desktops and numerous computer peripherals such as speakers, routers, etc.

Usually, Asus laptops are of great quality and can compete with almost any other famous PC brand in the market.

The company’s main focus has been to provide budget laptop buyers with options that give them that performance they’re looking for at a somewhat affordable price depending on the configuration.

A lot of people have been asking me what the Asus logo means. So, I’ve decided to look into it and investigate. Here’s what I found:

What Exactly is the Asus Symbol?

The Asus logo personifies the power, purity, and adventurousness of the mystical Pegasus, its Greek god namesake. The name “Asus” comes from Pegasus and has Greek origins: in Greek mythology, Pegasus was an immortal winged horse that symbolized wisdom and knowledge and was overall seen as a symbol of adventure and speed.

It is also said to be powerful enough to carry Zeus’ lightning bolts. In modern times, Pegasus is seen as a symbol of adventure and speed.

Asus chose this image because it represents what they aspire to do in their work:

Explore new possibilities, harness human imagination for creativity, and pursue the highest quality in everything they do.

What is Asus Republic of Gamers

Republic of Gamers (ROG) is a line of products by Asus that caters to enthusiast gamers; its offerings include motherboards, graphics cards, laptops, and desktop PCs, as well as peripherals — all packed full of features aimed at increasing the gaming experience while managing to give your desk setup a gamer feel.

The line was originally conceived to cover their higher-end products but has since grown to include the company’s mainstream offerings as well.

ROG motherboards currently support either Intel or AMD processors and feature improved audio components and advanced overclocking capabilities (with more emphasis on graphics cards).

In the past, Asus has been criticized for their lack of attention to detail on Republic of Gamers products.

In particular, some components have less robust heatsinks and a cheaper feel than those featured on equivalent non-gaming motherboards. However, as Republic of Gamers has branched into mainstream markets, these criticisms have faded away.

What is the Asus ROG Logo

The ROG (Republic of Gamers) logo is meant to be an eye, with “Republic of Gamers” written in stylized typography beneath it. The eye represents the gamer inside us all, with their laser focus on the game they are playing.

This is an interesting choice given that eyes are generally seen as symbols for knowledge or insight, not for gaming or computers, so it provides an interesting spin.

It seems that ASUS understands gamers because they have been there before themselves.
